Maybe they have not tried an USB mouse, or they use newer thinkpads where the trackpoint and touchpad are not PS/2 devices. 11:30 < seninha> Anyway, now that i can configure the trackpoint speed independently from mouse speed. How people here using thinkpads configure it? There are lots of knobs on xorg.conf(5) and xinput(1) for it (adaptive deceleration factor, constant deceleration factor, acceleration profile, etc). I have trying lots of combinations, but am still not satisfacted. 11:34 -!- memset [~memset@gateway/tor-sasl/memset] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 11:35 -!- memset [~memset@gateway/tor-sasl/memset] has joined #openbsd 11:36 -!- memset [~memset@gateway/tor-sasl/memset] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 11:40 -!- memset [~memset@gateway/tor-sasl/memset] has joined #openbsd 11:43 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.44.137] has joined #openbsd 11:47 -!- Vigdis [~danj@ns4.chown.me] has joined #openbsd 11:48 -!- tochu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has joined #openbsd 11:50 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.44.137] has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds] 11:50 -!- tochu is now known as tozhu 12:01 -!- td123 [~tom@user/td123] has joined #openbsd 12:02 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has quit [Quit: tozhu] 12:03 -!- byteskeptical [~amnesia@user/byteskeptical] has quit [Quit: Lost terminal] 12:06 -!- swottle [~swottle@user/swottle] has joined #openbsd 12:07 -!- JurassCZ [~JurassCZ@user/JurassCZ] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 12:08 -!- JurassCZ [~JurassCZ@user/JurassCZ] has joined #openbsd 12:12 -!- JurassCZ [~JurassCZ@user/JurassCZ] has quit [Client Quit] 12:12 -!- JurassCZ [~JurassCZ@user/JurassCZ] has joined #openbsd 12:17 -!- psydroid2 [~psydroid@user/psydroid] has joined #openbsd 12:17 -!- bket [~bket@user/bket] has joined #openbsd 12:17 -!- balsamic-oval [~balsamic-@user/balsamic-oval] has joined #openbsd 12:26 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has joined #openbsd 12:28 -!- zcram [~zcram@user/zcram] has joined #openbsd 12:40 -!- riad [~x@user/riad] has joined #openbsd 12:40 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has quit [Quit: tozhu] 12:41 < riad> hi, some while ago people in here recommended me to get a CCNA to get an general understanding about networking 12:42 < riad> as i came in here asking how to learn the basics to get comfortable with PF 12:42 < IcePic> networking is quite a large weird field nowadays 12:43 < riad> today i passed the exam and can proudly say i dint learn much of anything about firewalls xD 12:43 < IcePic> as you said, if you are not good at networking, then filtering will be harder to make work or even make secure, but many courses are very vendor specific for $reasons, so while you do learn a lot of networking, its mostly aimed at how this vendor wants it 12:44 < riad> yes exactly 12:44 < zelest> "networking" is kinda broad depending on how you define it 12:45 < riad> its a decent introduction to the basics (depending on the course ofc), but it quickly gets focused on enterprise networking day-to-day tasks 12:45 < il> I have a question for people wiser than me: I currently use the soju bouncer for IRC. It needs a TLS certificate, which I'm obtaining using acme-client and httpd, with a DNS challenge (I think). If I wanted to use caddy for serving a website, could I also use caddy for obtaining a TLS cert for soju? 12:45 < IcePic> il: I think so yes. 12:46 < il> I'm not sure if using caddy everywhere would be simpler than just using acme-client and httpd everywhere (for both sites and soju). I know for sure that use acme-client for soju, but caddy for https would not be the simplest. 12:47 < IcePic> caddy is awesome for automating renewals, simple reverseproxy and so on. Still, you need to reload/restart the bouncer when the certs renew 12:48 < il> Yeah, I have a complete setup with acme-client, with a script that's run with cron 12:49 < il> Considering I'm only hosting static pages, I'll probably just set up the https site with httpd and acme-client as well. I will look into caddy TLS cert obtaining without hosting, though, just to familiarize myself with options. 12:49 -!- gotohello [~gotohello@user/gotohello] has joined #openbsd 12:49 -!- psydroid2 [~psydroid@user/psydroid] has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 12:58 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has joined #openbsd 13:00 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has quit [Client Quit] 13:00 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has joined #openbsd 13:05 -!- ivdsangen [~ivo@83-82-34-145.cable.dynamic.v4.ziggo.nl] has joined #openbsd 13:05 -!- ivdsange1 [~ivo@83-82-34-145.cable.dynamic.v4.ziggo.nl] has joined #openbsd 13:06 -!- ivdsange1 [~ivo@83-82-34-145.cable.dynamic.v4.ziggo.nl] has quit [Client Quit] 13:09 -!- ublxi [~ublx@user/ublx] has joined #openbsd 13:11 -!- ublx [~ublx@user/ublx] has quit [Ping timeout: 264 seconds] 13:12 -!- jfsimon1981_b [~jfsimon19@lfbn-lyo-1-1534-250.w86-207.abo.wanadoo.fr] has joined #openbsd 13:13 -!- jfsimon1981 [~jfsimon19@2a01:cb14:b9b:2000:4d5:ec77:93c7:e5d5] has quit [Ping timeout: 276 seconds] 13:18 -!- fflam [~mdt@2600:4040:1105:d300::1c19] has joined #openbsd 13:20 -!- qbit [~qbit@user/qbit] has joined #openbsd 13:22 -!- chara [chara@ircnow.org] has joined #openbsd 13:22 -!- chara is now known as Guest6016 13:25 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has quit [Quit: tozhu] 13:25 -!- jrmu [jrmu@ircnow.org] has joined #openbsd 13:26 -!- sdds [~sdds@user/sdds] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 13:34 -!- kris_ [~kris_@user/kris-:46098] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 13:42 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has joined #openbsd 13:47 -!- dettus [~dettus@user/dettus] has quit [Quit: nyaa~] 13:47 -!- kris_ [~kris_@user/kris-:46098] has joined #openbsd 13:58 -!- trudeau_ [~trudeau@103.75.11.69] has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 14:03 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has quit [Quit: tozhu] 14:07 -!- StatiK76 [~StatiK76@user/StatiK76] has joined #openbsd 14:20 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has joined #openbsd 14:27 -!- B3-bomber [~God@76.176.35.180] has quit [Ping timeout: 261 seconds] 14:30 -!- B3-bomber [~God@76.176.35.180] has joined #openbsd 14:34 -!- seventh [~seventh@157.254.55.126] has joined #openbsd 14:34 -!- b50d [~b50d@62.96.54.30] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 14:48 -!- xkcd311 [~xkcd@user/xkcd] has joined #openbsd 14:48 -!- xkcd31 [~xkcd@user/xkcd] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 14:51 -!- swottle [~swottle@user/swottle] has quit [Quit: swottle] 14:53 -!- swottle [~swottle@user/swottle] has joined #openbsd 14:56 -!- tozhu [~tozhu@171.221.45.134] has quit [Quit: tozhu] 15:09 -!- zcram [~zcram@user/zcram] has quit [Quit: Do the right thing!] 15:14 -!- seventh [~seventh@157.254.55.126] has quit [Quit: ...] 15:15 -!- hotsoup [~hotsoup@user/hotsoup] has quit [Quit: ZNC 1.9.1+deb2+b3 -
